On Friday, February 26, 2016, Mrs. Rice spoke to the students of Bancroft Elementary School in Washington, D.C. The subject was the Civil Rights sit-ins of the 1960s and much more. Mrs. Rice's brother, attorney and fellow civil rights activist Ford T. Johnson, was also a speaker at the event. They shared compelling stories with positive and powerful messages.
