Welcome to BPOS
The mission and purpose of BPOS Foundation, Inc. (Be Part of the Solution) is to bring together the principles and empowering ideas of the Civil Rights Movement, past and present with the sole purpose of enlightening the young people of today to embrace the need for Freedom. We want them to realize what they have gained from the struggles of the past from leaders and pioneers who stood for past freedoms in order to make us a better nation, a better people. As we speak and educate, we will also offer a challenge for those that hear us to get involved by being part of the solution. How they can make a difference will be discussed. This will include seasoned community leaders as well as civil right activists, local and national. The institutional knowledge and experience garnered through this organization will be shared with youth in the elementary grades and at the secondary level. Young adults on college campuses, as well as other professional organizations such as businesses, non-profits, and religious organizations will be included.
THE BPOS PROGRAM ENCOURAGES FINDING FREEDOM FOR THOSE FAMILIES WITH OR WITHOUT CHILDREN, FORSAKEN AND FORGOTTEN AMONG US. THOSE LIVING IN POVERTY ESPECIALLY GENERATIONAL POVERTY NEED TO BE SHOWN THE WAY TO TRANSITION FROM A POVERTY MINDSET TO ONE PROMOTING PROSPERITY. BPOS HAS FOUND THAT AN ENVIRONMENT THAT FOSTERS ON A REGULAR BASIS THESE FOLLOWING THREE THINGS CAN BRING ABOUT REAL FREEDOM AND POSSIBLE WEALTH. (1.READING POSITIVE INSPIRATIONAL CONTENT DAILY FOR EMPOWERMENT), (2. LISTENING TO NEW MOTIVATING AUDIOS AND WATCHING INSPIRATIONAL VIDEOS, CD'S, (3.TAKING THAT INFORMATION PROVIDED RESULTING IN POSITIVE ACTIONS BY APPLYING WHAT WAS LEARNED. ACTIONS COULD INCLUDE, WRITING CREATIVELY HOW THEIR LIVES ARE IMPACTED BY THESE BOOKS ,AUDIOS AND VIDEOS. BEING AROUND SUCCESSFUL POSITIVE PEOPLE, SPEAKING ONE ON ONE AND SHARING INFORMATION BRINGS ABOUT GROWTH UNTIL YOU BECOME A LEADER, HELPING OTHERS ALONG THEIR JOURNEY. HAVING GAINED A NEW PERSPECTIVE , FAMILIES WILL COLLECTIVELY DECIDE ON WHICH SOLUTION THEY WISH TO SOLVE AND PROCEED IN A POSITIVE MANNER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
EMPOWERMENT
BPOS Foundation, Inc. will continue to work toward bringing about positive change by developing solutions to ongoing violence, inequality, injustice, persecution, hatred, poverty and racism. Our mission is to also provide historical perspectives in shaping today's solutions as the young and old dedicate and re-dedicate themselves to the principles of freedom in a just society. How can a family ever be empowered and have a sense of hope if degradation is all they ever see or talk about. A weekend college for families to have a positive impact on their lives is a goal, "BPOS", strives for. It will be called the "BPOS Success Academy".
We intend to develop educational, financial, leadership and mentoring programs that will positively articulate and reinforce the need for character building, self-respect, and mutual respect.
Programs will be implemented that promote positive thinking at basic levels such as reading, writing, and oral communication. These programs will be available to adults as well as youth. We will supply books and learning materials that change the lives of young and old. We know that the entire family must be a part of this enrichment and empowerment is real results are expected and last.
Senior citizens will play a major part in our quest to promote and support basic human rights. By offering productive and respectful outlets to seniors such as mentoring programs to younger generations who can benefit from historical perspectives, these seniors will be encouraged to remain active, productive, and relevant for as long as they wish. Seniors need to know that they must be positive and active during the later part of their lives. This positive training must be practiced on a regular basis.
We will always strive to acknowledge the contributions of viable, energetic, and productive senior citizens who still have so much to offer. We will champion their cause when we find that they are being cast into useless situations where they are devalued and allowed to waste away their golden years of wisdom. We will also provide new challenges and opportunities for seniors by developing activities and financial opportunities including mentoring their peers and others with their vast arena of knowledge and wisdom.
EDUCATION
One of the major atrocities of our age is the huge number of illiterates within our midst. They are our generations of lost men and women who cannot read, who have no hope or direction to improve their lives, and who have no means of getting a GED or of ever entertaining the possibility of going to college. We want to emphasize a 3 core action strategy. First we aim to introduce to students at various levels positive books and articles with leaders who will guide them. Those who cannot read well will be provided with a teacher to learn how to read with comprehension from a basic level and above. Secondly we want to instruct reading students to write about themselves and tell their story. They also need to be able to fill out an application and write a letter to someone they want to share their experiences with. Lastly we want to teach communication skills, one on one, group interaction socially or in a business setting. We want to empower our students to further their education with high-school or "Ged Training" as required to develop their future business or to be employed by someone else. The paths which many have followed are ones which have taken them to lives of despair and disappointment, which has often led to violence, incarceration or death. We want to make a significant positive change in this outcome. They will be shown how to be successful by reading about what others have done and hearing from successful persons.
With the BPOS Foundation, Inc. will provide an alternative, a beacon of light, and a safety net to catch, motivate, educate, and direct adults and young dropouts to a better life. They will be able to take their place in society empowered with the positive tools involving, educational literacy, financial literacy, leadership qualities and entrepreneurship, to make them assets and citizens of importance, rather than liabilities in this current age.
