Goals toward a Prosperous Meaningful Life in 2020

Picture
I recently attended a Goal Setting Webinar conducted by Rob Robson, a mentor of mine and one of the leaders and owners of Life Leadership Organization who gave me extraordinary advice on how to start this year, 2020, off with determination and confidence and posture like never before. For the next 90 days, I invite you to join me on my quest to rekindle the best in all of us. I have added my voice to this my 1st newsletter of 2020, to inspire me and others to follow his clear path to freedom to a better life for our families, friends and the strangers we meet. I hope these guidelines and golden nuggets will mean as much to you as they did to me from this informative, inspirational webinar.. Now comes the challenging part. Let’s take action like never before. I plan to, Join me.

Welcome back to a brand new year 2020. If 2019 did not go as well as you hoped don't give up all is not lost. One of the things I realized from last year is that in order to make a difference, we must change our programming in order for change to occur. Just as you change your thermostat in your home, if it gets too cold during the winter, to a reasonable temperature, we must change our programming to present us with a stable, reasonable life once we get the thermostat at the right temperature. In order to establish great habits,we must constantly take accountability and responsibility for our actions. We can't keep doing the same things in the same way year after year if we don’t like the results.

As you have heard me say in previous newsletters “If you continue to do the same things the same way you will continue to get the same results is that enough?” Let's look at the 5 facets of life as I relate to them. Look at your life as a five pointed star, each Ray representing an important phase of your life. Beginning with the Physical, Mental, Social, Financial, Educational and the center of the star radiating the Spiritual. The spiritual is at the center of the star because without Spirit or divine knowledge and a higher power guiding us, none of the other rays will work in harmony effectively. I was amazed to hear the facts related in this webinar about the differences between wealthy people and poor people and their habits. A survey recently found that 70% of wealthy people eat less than 300 calories a day in junk food whereas poor people consume so much more in junk food per day. Findings show 81% of the wealthy maintain a to-do list compared to 19% for poor people. In terms of goal setting which is necessary for the beginning of any task or a new year 80% of the wealthy set goals compared to 12% of the poor, also 67% of the wealthy write down their goals compared to 17% of the poor. In the area of Education here are some startling facts, 63% of the wealthy listen to the audios that are encouraging and uplifting only 5% of the poor listen to the same on a daily basis, The wealthy, read 88% of the time for upliftment or enjoyment at least 30 minutes a day compared to 2% of the poor. Regarding long-term educational goals 86% of the wealthy seek self-improvement while only 5% of the poor think the same. The financial picture shows that 25% of wealthy people gamble when compared to 52% of the poor. In building good relationships 80% of the wealthy usually make happy birthday calls while only 11% of the poor call someone to wish them happy birthday. 79% of the wealthy Network for at least 5 hours or more each month only 16% of the poor Network. If truth be told we have occupied some of these same areas in the past and/or even now.

I believe that everyone can achieve their dreams. Yes, Dreams are possible, but you must make needed changes in order for your dreams to become a reality,. Here are some steps that may be helpful in getting a grip on living a successful life or the kind of life you deserve:
