If you noticed our new poem, "How Bright is Your Light? (Could You be a Star?)" at the beginning of the website, let me give you some background as to how THE BPOS FOUNDATION has become identified as attempting to spread light in the five major areas of our lives, as we try to address the wrongs of society - be it civil rights, illiteracy, discrimination, etc.  BPOS (Be Part of the Solution) does not discriminate by age or gender in its mission to serve others. Please read the poem on the home page when you can.

I was born the third Elizabeth in my family. I was named after my mom, Elizabeth Jones Johnson, and she was named after her mother, Elizabeth Belle Jones.  I gave birth to two wonderful sons, Kevin and Marcus Rice, who became fathers to girls but chose not to continue my legacy of the name "Elizabeth" as a first name. The buck stops with me and unless the granddaughters have a girl and name her Elizabeth, I will be the last in the scenario.

My grandmother, Elizabeth, founded the Tomorrow’s World Foundation in the 1940’s when I was born and taught me, as a little girl, about the 5-pointed star, representing the Physical, Mental, Social, Financial, and Educational rays, which was a major part of the objective and purpose of her foundation. She and my mother, Elizabeth, taught me what it meant to use this philosophy as a guide for living my young life and spreading positive light in the world.  I try to follow this philosophy today. Use the scale of 1- 20 points for each ray to determine how bright the light of your star can be..

BPOS, my foundation, is continuing my parents' and grandparents' wonderful legacy by sharing this philosophy with you. This May and June, we are focusing on the Physical aspect of the Ray of Light. Each month a new ray will be focused as well as its’ impact on our lives.

SPREADING  PHYSICAL  LIGHT
We are born in the image of God. We have God’s light within us. Our body is compared to a temple.  What we do to our body outwardly and inwardly makes a difference in how much light we possess.  Many people eat junk food, never exercise, never eat healthy foods, or ignore the body's warning when pain or nausea occurs.  Some have had life threatening experiences with multiple warnings from the doctor and still continue along the wrong path until some tragedy occurs. Some never get the message, some get it right away. If you have an obese, diseased body, or continue smoking when you can’t breathe or any other ailments which work against you, how bright is this ray of your star? Obviously on a scale of 1-20 with a body in bad condition, your score could be as low as 5-10 points. We will send you our Healthy Star Chart that lets you know how bright your light is for each part of your ray in your total star. Contact us by e-mail and we will get it to you.

During May and June, look out for allergies and pollen. Check your weather report. If you are trying to get in shape for the beach or an event, it’s not too late. Get serious about your diet and exercise. Be blessed and be good to your body.
