WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW

Picture
Recently, one of the worst atrocities in America occurred. This
day happened to be my birthday, which was October 1st.  I was elated to celebrate 77 years on this planet. I did not know what my family had planned for me for the day or evening. I was pleasantly surprised when my son called to wish me Happy Birthday and that he wanted to start my day by taking me out to breakfast and then shopping. I said that would be great. This day was also special because of the gifts, dinner, and surprise from my granddaughter and her fiance who flew in from Austin, Texas to celebrate with me. Later on that evening, I learned of one of the worst massacre of lives in America’s history which occurred at a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada that evening by a lone erratic, senseless gunman. As of this writing 58 persons were killed in rapid gunfire from one assailant and over 500 people hospitalized; some still struggling to stay alive.

This tragedy, coupled with the political and social divisiveness of the world we live in at this time, cries out for genuine assistance from our humanity and goodness and all that it stands for. What the world truly needs now is love, understanding, and respect  for one another. We are so caught up in sharing our negative opinions, many of them not needed or justified. Every now and then, a voice from the Wilderness is heard which makes great sense and brings a sense of calm to all of us. At the same time, all of this carnage was occurring while several states were recovering from hurricanes, floods, and even in other parts of the world, earthquakes with massive destruction. Many friends and relatives were recipients of Mother Nature and her Wrath. Never in the history of the United States and the world has there been so much warning given as to realizing the gift that we've been given in taking care of and perpetuating the goodness of this world for future families and loved ones. So many take global warming and what the scientists have foreseen as figments of their imagination. It should be abundantly clear at this time that there is a rhythm and an order of this world and that climate change is not a fantasy but a reality. The timing of the disasters did not follow any set
plan nor did they come to any final culmination until another one followed and in its path. Thousands of people have been affected, many dying from this natural phenomena.

The positive things brought out from all of this massive energy forced upon us is the need to love our fellow human beings and to come to their aid without being asked to. It did not matter the color, the nationality, the religion, their political party, or where they came from. It did matter to get them help as their needs were  constantly increasing. As we come together now and in the coming months, November and December bringing to a close the year 2017, let us reflect upon the good in the world and how much each one of us is needed. Every person has a contribution they
can make ,even though some may not realize it at the time. Let the goodness of your heart be representative in your actions and in all that you do as you. Exhibit your best potential for the good of the whole. What the world needs now is love. Let your light so shine that others may see your good works and glorify the Godly spirit within all of us.
