On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, Mrs. Rice spoke to the fourth-graders at Robious Elementary School in Midlothian, Virginia. The students had been learning about the civil rights movement of the 1960’s and she was given the opportunity to share her firsthand knowledge as a participant in the sit-ins, which lead to her becoming a part of the Richmond 34. Their theme was “Can One Person Make a Difference?”.

The students were attentive and considerate. They also asked her some challenging questions about her involvement in the events and of the overall era. In this special newsletter, Mrs. Rice shares the wonderful experience about that morning at the school.

In the meantime, Mrs. Rice is available to speak at your functions on a variety of topics. All inquiries will be considered. Please contact us here.
