On Tuesday, February 23, 2016 during the morning news broadcast of ABC affiliate, WRIC-TV8 in Richmond, Virginia, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson Rice was featured in a special Black History Month segment. She shared her experience as a member of the Richmond-34 on February, 20, 1960 and took a visit, with WRIC reporter, Roxie Bustmante, to Virginia Union University to see the commemorative marker celebrating all of the members and their turning point in history.
